Fall-oween Jesus

To me, fall is that girl 🍁 — the candles are burning, the food tastes sweeter, and my Pinterest board looks like a Hallmark movie exploded (in the best way possible). Cozy sweaters, spooky movie marathons, pumpkin patches, caramel apples… this season is the main character. 🎃👻

But in between all the Pinterest-perfect moments, I’ve been really trying to be intentional about keeping Jesus in it all. Because while I love me some hot cocoa and a “Hocus Pocus” night, I also love slowing down enough to notice how God is moving in the little things — the cold early mornings, the laughter with family, the way the leaves fall exactly when they’re supposed to. 🍂

🕯 Cozy Things That Remind Me of His Presence

  • Candles while I read my scriptures— there’s something sacred about quiet time with Jesus when the world feels cozy and calm.

  • Walks in crisp air — I’ll pop in my headphones, cue up some worship music (hi “Gratitude” by Brandon Lake 🫶), and just talk to God. Early morning walks (while freezing my nose off) have become really precious to me. It's the moments of being in nature before the chaos of the day fully starts that sets me into a better mood.

  • Pumpkin spice mornings — thanking Him for simple joys like warm cocoa, cute mugs, and of course my journals. ☕I have found that when I start my morning off being thankful for the little things, my day turns out a whole heck of a lot better! Especially on Mondays. (Iykyk)

  • Cozy nights in — even if I’m watching Halloween movies, I love ending the night with a short prayer with my husband. When we started dating we both implemented how much we wanted to keep Christ a big focus in our relationship, and since getting married, its been SUPER important to us both to keep that in our marriage.

👻 Fall, But Make It Faith-filled

Halloween can be so fun — dressing up, baking spooky treats, decorating my space all cute with fairy lights and pumpkins 🕸🎃🧡. But I’ve been reminding myself that I can celebrate the joy and creativity of the season without losing the light God calls me to carry. ✨

Which for me, that feels like bringing people together. Hosting a cozy movie night with friends, baking pumpkin bread to share, or what we did just recently, pumpkin carving! Little things that reflect His love and bring the joy of the family— even when everyone’s dressed as ghosts. 👀💗

🌻 A Season of Gratitude

Fall is honestly the perfect time to slow down and thank God for where He has me. 🍂 Whether it’s cozy nights in with my husband, long walks, or journaling moments, I feel Him reminding me: “You’re exactly where you need to be.”

So this year, I’m soaking up every caramel apple, every golden leaf, every sunrise walk — and whispering a little “thank you, Jesus” 🙏

Because season will always come and go, and this season I am still Fall-oween Him.
